OUR STORY
We’re Karen & Kimberly, proud band moms, long-time volunteers, and the owners of D.DIB.
Our brand was born out of years of living the band life: working full-time jobs, then spending long nights and weekends volunteering for our kids’ high school marching band. We’ve done it all from feeding the kids, pushing props, taking tickets, running social media, building the band’s website, and serving on the Booster Board.
We know the meaning of long days: once, it is not uncommon to clock over 70 volunteer hours in the first month of the season in addition to a full time career. Our kids practice from sunrise until late into the night, and we don’t get home until midnight or later. And yet, we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Why? Because we’ve seen the magic of music education. The dedication, discipline, and teamwork these students show is nothing short of inspiring. Band teaches life skills that last forever and it creates a second family that supports each member on and off the field.
But the truth is, these programs are severely underfunded. The financial burden often falls on students and families, and we believe no one should miss out on the life-changing experience of being part of a band because of money.
That’s why we created D.DIB. Marching Inspired apparel for musicians who move differently. Every design in our collection is exclusive and created by a professional graphic artist, giving band families something better than generic slogans and clipart. And with each purchase, a portion of profits will go toward funding music education.
Our mission is simple: build something lasting that helps financially support band programs and makes it possible for every student to be part of something special, no matter their circumstances.
From one band family to another: thank you for helping us keep the music playing.
